ANAMBRA:Obiano Uncovers 850 Ghost Workers,Calls For Review Of 2016 Budget

GOVERNOR Willie Obiano of Anambra State has stated the state government has discovered 850 ghost workers in the state who had contributed in liquidating the state’s resources through dubious tactics.

The governor who said this in an interactive session with the media stated that the discovery was possible through concerted internal mechanism put in place towards reducing expenditures and cost of governance in the state which contributes immensely towards practicable remedies on the present economic situation occasioned by the decline of oil prices.

Speaking further, the state governor who visibly lamented on why the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway which has become an eyesore was not included in the 2016 budget of the nation, however stated that the state government cannot delve into rehabilitating any federal roads noting that the state is already indebted to the sum of N34 billion against various federal road projects done by the state within the state.

Obiano therefore called on President Mohammadu Buhari to review the 2016 budget with the aim of capturing the road and other projects in the state.
