UNITED States of America has deported 41 Nigerians for the breach of various laws in the country. The deportees successfully landed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos with a chartered aircraft, Miami Air International with the registration number N733MA which touched down at about 12:18pm Nigerian time.
According to a report, nine of the deportees were
repatriated for drug related offence, 26 for various police cases, while the
other six were returned for the breach of the US immigration laws adding that those
deported on drug related offences would be further interrogated to certify fitness
before entering the country to mix freely with the society...
It was also reported that those whose offences bothered on
breach of the US immigration laws were released to go to their various
destinations after passing through Immigration profiling that ascertained their
citizenships as claimed in their passports.
It will be recalled that this incident almost coincided with similar action taken
on Nigerians few days after 162 Nigerians were repatriated from Libya for
illegal entry to the country.
