As believers, we have become the ambassadors of Christ on
earth, and therefore endowed with unlimited authority to act in His position.
God didn’t give the Lord some powers to do certain things but all powers to do
all things.
Recall that after the transfiguration of Jesus, God spoke in
a loud voice from heaven introducing Him to the entire universe saying, “….this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased; hear ye him”. (Matthew 17:1-5). In order words, to submit to the
declaration of the Lord is not optional but compulsory.
Emphatically, God didn’t give the directive to any particular
persons or groups but to all creations. Suffice to say that everything in the
natural world, both animate and inanimate object has been mandated to be
subject to Jesus. Hence, demons, circumstances, storms, wind, rocks, tree,
waters, animals, insects, reptiles, issues, personalities, powers, among others
have been directed and programmed by the creator to surrender to the voice of
the Lord.
No wonder, Philippians 2:9-10 makes a remarkable affirmation,
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted
him, and given him a name which is above every name; That at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things
under the earth….
Following this standing order from above, during the era of
Jesus, He did amazing exploits; the sick people were healed, persons possessed
and oppressed by evil spirit were delivered, amazing storms were calmed, fish
and loaves of bread duplicated inexplicably, dry bones received life, stinking
corpses in the grave received breath after 4 days and lived again, trees
withered expressly, maimed limbs, blind eyes, deaf ears were healed and
restored, and many more. All submitted forcefully to the voice of the Supreme
Commander of the universe.
What of the leper and the centurion’s servant that were also
healed; all pointed to the supremacy of the Lord over all creations. These were
outstandingly demonstrations of actions Jesus took simply by giving
instructions. All submitted in obedience and responded accordingly to the
spoken word of the Lord without even laying hands or any abracadabra. Isn’t
that remarkable?
Interestingly, the divine nature which makes all creations to
hear and obey Him is now our heritage in Christ. Hence, we have been graced and
programmed to function equally like Him and record similar results, however
through Him. We can speak to various storms of life and called forth whatever
changes we desire in our lives through Him. This therefore implies that we have
been given a power of attorney from above to operate in similar dimensions on
representative capacity as the Lord Himself. 1 John 4:17, “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of
judgment because as He is, so are we in this world”.
Therefore, we can speak to anything that tries to prove
stubborn against our plans and purposes in life, and earn submissions from
them. Importantly, the consciousness of who you are and the power of attorney
we have been graciously given is the starting point of our victory. The bible
says in John 8:32 “And you shall know the
truth, and the truth shall make you free”.
In all the anomalies Jesus confronted, He spoke to them, and
nothing else but absolute compliance was recorded. This indicates that a closed
mouth is like a closed destiny. Speak to the challenges irrespective of what it
appears like, that’s your part as His ambassador. As His seed is in you, you have the capacity
and authority to speak to anything in the name of Jesus and effect changes in
the family, career, finances and health according to your desire. Speak life to
everything that concerns you today.
