SUPREME COURT VERDICTS: APC Will Soon Meet To Give Remarks On Rulings

Chief John OdigieOyegun
CHAIRMAN of the All Progressive Party, APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has said the the party will soon meet to take unanimous decision in view of the recent verdicts of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in which the apex court affirmed the elections of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidates.
Odigie-Oyegun, who made the disclosure when a delegation of APC from Akwa-Ibom State paid him a courtesy visit at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, stated that the party was waiting for the Supreme Court to give reasons for the decisions in Akwa Ibom and other states so as to meet over the matter squarely.
“What is paramount is how to move forward on the situation that confronts us. We should reach conclusions that will guide us as a party in the months ahead.
“The party’s leadership will meet on a yet-to-be announced date to deliberate and decide on the way forward over Supreme Court rulings on governorship elections, but, we have to wait until the Supreme Court gives reasons for the decisions in Akwa Ibom and other states,” Odigie-Oyegun said.

Already, both the leadership and candidate of APC in the Akwa-Ibom governorship election, Umana Umana, criticised the judgment which was delivered in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Governor Udom Emmanuel.
