OPERATIVES of the Department of State Services (DSS) on
Tuesday arrested a former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt. General Azubuike
Ihejirika (rtd).
Ihejirika was arrested on
Tuesday night at his Maitama, Abuja residence and whisked away to
the DSS custody.
According to sources, more than N400 million in cash and
12 cars were allegedly among property recovered from his residence by the DSS
operatives. The alleged cars include 2 Bentleys; 3 Range Rovers; 2 Rolls Royce;
1 SLR and 1 Mercedes G-Wagon...
It was also learnt that his arrest was connected to the
ongoing $2.1 billion arms purchase probe involving former National Security
Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) who has been in custody undergoing trial…
