NIGERIA: FG Declares Friday, Monday Public Holidays

The federal government has declared Friday, March 25 and Monday, March 28 as public holidays to mark the Good Friday and Easter Celebrations respectively.
 
In a statement signed by acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd), enjoined all the Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to use the celebration of Easter to thin positive about Nigeria as well as joining hands with President Muhammadu Buhari in his sustained efforts to build a peaceful, united and a desirable nation.

The minister, while wishing all Nigerians a happy Easter Celebration, urged all citizens of the country irrespective of religion or tribe, to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the nation adding that Nigeria is our only country and should always be prayed for.
He added that the present administration is determinedly working hard to make life and things better in the country in pursuit to the change agenda of the administration.
