ABUJA: Welcome Back To Nigeria, MR.President!

PRESIDENT Mohammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria after a 5-day vacation he officially embarked upon in London.

The President aboard a Presidential jet landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 8.45pm on Wednesday so as to resume official duties on Thursday in accordance to the notice of his vacation sent to the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of the Representatives.

In the official correspondence, the President communicated to the National Assembly of his intention tom proceed on vacation on medical reason, precisely a schedule medical checkup with his physician based in the united Kingdom, adding that the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo would assume the office of Acting President as provided with the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Expectedly, the President would today (Thursday) re-communicate to the National Assembly though its leadership of his availability and readiness to resume duties as the substantive PPresident so as the formally relieve the Osinbajo from the duties of Acting President.
