UNKNOWN men believably kidnappers on Monday abducted a boy aged
11 named Musa Salisu, and slaughtered
him mercilessly after attempts to get a sum of N500,000 from his parents proved
abortive.
Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy
Superintendent of Police (DSP), Magaji Musa Majia, who confirmed the tragic incident,
disclosed that the deceased who was sent on an errand by his parents was found
dead on Tuesday morning.
Describing the incident as sad and wicked, the Force
spokesperson disclosed that so far two suspects have been arrested in
connection with the incident adding that the deceased, a Primary 6 pupil in one
of the schools, was abducted by unknown people at about 2pm on Monday in
Naibawa quarters in the state capital.
According to Alhaji Abubakar Kafinta, the late Musa’s uncle, the
matter was promptly reported to the police, while they made efforts to meet
their demand after the unidentified men contacted the family through telephone demanding
for N500,000 ransom for the release the boy.
He added that the family contacted the same telephone line only
to learn that the boy has been slaughtered giving the family a detailed
description of where to locate the corpse on eastern bypass, Kano.
“We have recovered his body, performed the Fidau and buried him
at Naibawa Cemetery” he stated.
