According to the second citizen, President Buhari is passionately worried and concerned about the recovery of the girls adding that the issue of the missing girls were usually topmost in every security meeting presided by the President.
Osinbajo made this remarks during the one-day roundtable on Vulnerable People in Insurgency and other conflicts in Nigeria organized by the office of the National Security Adviser adding that the present government of Nigeria is grateful and inspired over the concerns of various groups and nations over the predicaments, which climaxed to the kidnap of innocent girls as well as leaving thousands in Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps across the nation.
“President Buhari as a parent shares in their trauma. At any Security Council meeting that I have attended, the President in particular has always been concerned about the question of Chibok girls in particular. Of course, it comes out of ensuring that apart from the international importance attached to it, he reflects on the abduction as if any of the girls is one of his own”, the vice President said.

The Vice President also challenged all the stakeholders at the roundtable conference to never relent in being active partners of progress in rebuilding the nation adding that with a collective mindset of ‘Together, we can do more’, the nation will be certainly revived to occupy its ideal position in Africa.
