Anyaoku To Chair Ondo At 40 Symposium

FORMER Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku has been named the Chairman of a symposium being organized by the Ogun State Government as part of activities marking the 7th anniversary of Governor Mimiko’s administration which coincided with the 40th anniversary of the State.
Disclosing this to journalists in Akure on Sunday, the State capital, the Commissioner of Information, Kayode Akinmade stated that the event would hold on 24th February at the Dome, Akure.

According to him, Senators Ben Bruce and Shehu Sanni, and former Information Minister in the previous administration, Labaran Maku have been shortlisted as discussants with a theme “Containing Nigeria’s Centrifugal Forces”.  
The Commissioner stated that activities lined up for the event commenced on Monday with a photo exhibition which he noted has been resourceful adding that if afforded the citizens the opportunity to accurately trace the history and measure the developments in the state as well as familiarizing with one another.



Other activities lined up include a command performance put together by a renowned literary icon, Professor Kunle Omotosho, interactive session with the State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko as well as the commissioning of about 25 projects across the three senatorial districts in the state.
