President Muhammadu Buhari on
Monday approved the appointment of a former member of the House of
Representatives, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, as Senior Special Assistant on
Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora.
Dabiri-Erewa, up till this appointment, has been a staunch
member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state.
She was the Chairman of the House of Representatives
Committee on Media and Publicity between 2003 and 2007 and later chaired the
House Committee on Diaspora Affairs between 2007 and 2015.
Dabiri-Erewa was reportedly sighted at the Presidential
Villa in Abuja on Monday when she went for her appointment letter as well as to file the necessary documentation.
