FG completes 14 Hydropower Dams

The Minister of Water Resources, Mr. Suleiman Adamu has said that the Federal Government has completed not fewer than 14 hydropower dams with a combined capacity to generate over 700 megawatts of electricity towards the boost of power supply across the country.

The Minister speaking at a three-day ministerial retreat that ended at the weekend stated that the present government of President Mohammadu Buhari is strategically determined  to improve power generation by maximizing the country’s hydro potential, adding that less than 20 percent of Nigeria’s hydropower capacity had been utilized. The retreat was organized by the ministry in Abuja.
