Federal Government declares 24th, 25th and 28th Public Holidays

The Federal government has declared Thursday 24th, Friday 25th and Monday 28th December as public holidays across the country in commemoration of the Islamic’s Maulud Nubiy, Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations respectively.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Minister of Interior, Lt.Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau (rtd) who explained that the Boxing Day which is usually marked on a day after Christmas with a public holiday across the globe will be officially marked in Nigeria on Monday 28th December, 2015 as 24th December, 2015 fell on Saturday which is not a working day.  He however wished all Nigerians both Christians and Muslims hearty and wonderful yuletide, and essentially to reflect on the merits of the celebrations.
