Federal Government declares 24th, 25th and 28th Public Holidays

The Federal government has declared Thursday 24^th, Friday 25^th and Monday 28^th December as public holidays across the country in commemoration of the Islamic’s Maulud Nubiy, Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations respectively.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Minister of Interior, Lt.Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau (rtd) who explained that the Boxing Day which is usually marked on a day after Christmas with a public holiday across the globe will be officially marked in Nigeria on Monday 28^th December, 2015 as 24^th December, 2015 fell on Saturday which is not a working day.  He however wished all Nigerians both Christians and Muslims hearty and wonderful yuletide, and essentially to reflect on the merits of the celebrations.
