DELTA state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has implicitly admitted that Nigeria is 'fantastically corrupt' as believed in the international communities.
Okowa, on behalf of Delta state government celebrated the 58th birthday of former governor of Delta state, Chief James Ibori who is presently in the prison custody in the United Kingdom over over corruption charges and money laundering.
In his birthday message signed and posted with Ibori's picture, Delta state logo and Nigeria's coat of arms online, Okowa described Ibori as "a political gladiator".
"The political gladiator is 58. I join your family, friends, political associates and other well wishers to felicitate with you on the occasion of your 58th birthday...
"Your charisma, broad-based approach to governance and strong leadership credentials are enduring legacies that have continued to inspire other political leaders.
"I thank God for His protection and blessing upon you in this period of trial and I trust He shall continually refresh and sustain you in preparation for greater responsibilities", Okowa said.
