Mr. Sam Okaula has called on criminals within the state to change their mind or
be ready to meet their end.

crime fighting materials on ground left by my predecessor. I am a crime fighter
and I have just come to do just that here. It will interest you to know that
when I took over yesterday (Monday) I got information that some cultists were
somewhere doing their initiation, I then directed my operatives to descend on
them. In the process, 20 of them were arrested. Some of them are from
neighbouring states, they’ve all been rounded up with various items. I want to
sound this note of warning that Anambra State is not going to be conducive for
any criminal. It is better for the criminals to relocate now before the meet
their waterloo, I mean my words and I am telling you what I am going to do.
“I’ve made my stand known to the DPOs and Area
Commanders and heads of departments, we are going to collectively ensure that
the peace that pervades in this state, the enabling environment that have been
created by the Governor and my predecessor that nobody whatsoever tapers with
it. We are going to build on it and we are going to continue to fight crime and
criminality.
“I am appealing to good people of Anambra
state that there is a new sheriff in town and this sheriff does not condone
crime and criminalities. They should come forward and give me information; I will
make my numbers available”, he said.

state to partner with him by providing useful information on security matters
adding that Police will always achieve its best in collaboration with members
of the public.
