LAGOS state government has released
hotlines of Lagos State Task Force against Omo-Oniles aimed at eradicating the
menace of the so-called “sons of the soil” which in most cases ended up
intimidating and frustrating land buyers across the Lagos environs.
Confirming the contact details, the
secretary of the task-force, Mrs. Mosunbola Balogun said the present administration
of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode is determined to make the state uncomfortable for the
perpetrators of these illicit acts, which had over the years discouraged several
investors in real estate and therefore vowed that the state government will waste
no time in bringing the culprits to face the full weight of the law in the overall
interest of the state...
Assuring that the taskforce will deliver
its mandate vis-à-vis the terms of reference, she said that the onus shifts to
the public that have the responsibility of forwarding complaints to the
taskforce where such acts are taking place and then watch to see what will be their
reactions.
The
statement added that “Lagos state government is backing their words with action
by giving to the general public the hotlines of the recently set-up task force
to tackle these land grabbers”.
