FEDERAL High Court in Abuja, has today finally
struck out the suit challenging the academic credentials of President Muhammadu
Buhari.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola struck out the suit
following a notice of discontinuance filed by the plaintiff, Mr Nnamdi
Nwokocha-Ahaiwe.
When the matter was called, Mr Chikordi
Okeorji, lawyer to the plaintiff, Nwokocha-Ahaiwe, informed the court that the
plaintiff had filed a notice of discontinuance adding that the notice was
pursuant to order 50 rule 2 (1) of the Federal High Court Rules, adding that
the notice of discontinuance was filed on June 27.
As defendant’s counsel, Paul Ajiboye did not
oppose the application, however complained that he was not served his copy, Justice Ademola consequently struck out the suit.
