As
believers in Christ, it is our core responsibility and duty to locate our
positions in Him through His Word. The good plans and purposes for which God
created us are all wrapped up in His word. This impliedly means that until you
discover His purpose for your life, you could persistently keep living a life
of trial and errors. Worst of it all, you could find yourself copying another's
calling and destiny unknowingly.
Interestingly,
God through His word had revealed all things to mankind. His ways are no longer
hidden from His people; hence to ignore hooking up to study intensively is at
the individual's detriment. This is because God is a Spirit, and can only
relate to man in the physical realm through His Spirit. Importantly, to flow
with the Spirit requires the knowledge of the Word, if not, to connect to the
Spirit may not be possible.
Without
doubt, God is a God of purpose and never made anything on the surface of the
earth without plans and purposes. The book of Ephesians 2:10 makes this clear, "For we are God's [own] handiwork
[workmanship] created in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good
works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He
prepared ahead og time], that we should walk in them [living the good life
which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].AMP
Remarkably,
the scripture clearly shifts the responsibility to Christians and not to God. The
scripture says "And ye shall know
the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). It didn't
stop there, it emphatically stated in Colossians 4:17 " ....Take heed to the ministry which thou
hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it. From the two scriptures
above, it is evidently clear that it is our responsibility to ensure that our
callings and destinies are actualized accordingly.
Suffice
to say that all the provisions, expectations, solutions, deliverance, healings,
favours and other spiritual blessings we pursue have been wrapped up in the
Word and delivered to mankind.
In
living a life of purpose and divine plan, inevitably, you should have a good
knowledge and understanding of the Word knowing that His word is the wisdom of
God.(Proverbs 1:20, 33, Psalm 119:130.
Concerted
study of the Word with consciously yielding to the Holy Spirit will usher you
into His divine presence where both secrets and mysteries of the kingdom would
be revealed to you. Deuteronomy 29:29 says "The secret things belong unto the LORD
our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children
for ever, that we may do all the words of this law."
Submit yourself to Him today because the more yielded you are to
Him through His Word, the more He would be willing to work out His good
purposes in your life which would make you a light in your world. As you know
the word, it enables you to fulfill the will of the Father.
