ABIA: Kalu Pledges To Address Biafra Issues, Problems

FORMER governor of Abia State and Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) candidate for the March 5 Abia North Senatorial District rerun, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has pledged that he would be use his position as senator if elected to address problems, which led to the agitation for actualization sovereign state of Biafra.
Speaking at Igbere, his home town, during the last lap of his campaign tour of Abia North, Kalu said that the issues confronting the entire geopolitical zone are overwhelming adding that someone with vast experiences like him will be of immense value in addressing those crises.
However, Kalu did not offer that he would support the agitation but to address the injustices that brought about the agitations. He added that the imbalance in the system which had marginalized the south-east would be his priority if elected to be in the Senate in addition to his primary area of jurisdiction which is the Abia North Federal constituency.
 “Agitators, whether they are in MASSOB, IPOB or any other group, have their sentiments and if I get to the Senate, I will establish a proper dialogue between them and the Federal Government so that the problem will be settled amicably.

“With President Muhammadu Buhari, I know, we are going to find a common ground so that justice can be done where there is injustice and the people will be happy,” Kalu said.
