TERTIARY EDUCATION: Tenebe Bows Out Alongside 12 Other Vice Chancellors

The Federal Government of Nigeria has removed thirteen Vice Chancellors of the Federal universities across the nation. However, the reasons for the replacement are still unknown.
The twelve of the Vice Chancellor were reportedly those of the newly universities approved at the last lap of the previous administration of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan
Professor Vincent Tenebe, Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN was, however the thirteenth University’s Chief Executive Officer affected in the exercise.

In a statement signed by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, the minister stated that President Mohammadu Buhari has already approved the replacement of the Vice Chancellors.
According to students of NOUN, Tenebe since has indeed contributed immensely to several improvements in the institution both academically and the spreading of the institution to diverse quarters. Few of the students interviewed stated that Professor Tenebe would be greatly missed for his resourcefulness, eloquence and charisma by both the management and students of the school. However, PIGB is yet to get a response from a member of the staff of the university.
