Have you given up on anything as if God’s
faithfulness is a myth or assumed that your case is closed? God’s love on
humanity is overwhelming and inexplicable, and should not be in vain.
Despite whatever challenges that might be
confronting you, perhaps, the devil struck you painfully that you have lost
hope on the almighty God, one thing is clear; God is faithful and works in His
own ways. Another thing that is worthy of note is that the devil is a liar and determinedly
working to separate us from the love of God.
Romas 8:35-39 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution or famine or nakedness, or peril or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come. Nor height nor depth, nor any other creatures, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
Devil
may have knocked us down through some challenges, pains, uncertainties but our
case is not closed. We cannot give up to the devil which is his grand
expectation, besides, Christ is the hope of glory. The devil may have attacked
you with sicknesses, chronic diseases, hardship, joblessness, persecution,
childlessness or even the death a beloved one, nevertheless, your case is not
closed.
No doubt, these ugly situations and
circumstances are undesirable and are obviously the handiworks of the devil.
The bible recorded in John 10:10 “The
thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” Interestingly,
these evil circumstances and persecutions against the children of God are the
basis for the coming of the Lord of Hosts. “…For
this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of
the devil”. 1 John 3:8
Our God is able. Nothing is impossible to
and with Him, and the word, ‘impossibility’ does not exist to Him. Lazarus died
and was buried. His family concluded that his case was closed even when Jesus
Christ showed up four days after the burial and said Lazarus will rise again.
Even when Lazarus sisters and every other person thought it was over, that the
case is closed. Our awesome Lord Jesus commanded Lazarus back to life after
four days in the grave based on His word. “I
am the resurrection and the life; He that believes in me though he were dead
yet shall he live”. John 11:25
Importantly, Lord Jesus wept at the grave of
Lazarus when He saw their little faith and unbelief to the word of life. The
weeping could be as a result of diverse miracles the Lord had performed in
their presence but still, they lost hope that the power in the word of God
could bring back their brother Lazarus to life. That singular act was the only
place recorded in the scriptures where the King of Kings wept compassionately.
Indeed, our God is full of compassion. Even when we relate with Him out of
unbelief and faithlessness, His constantly exercises compassion on us. The Lord is gracious, and full of
compassion, slow to anger, and of great mercy. Psalm 145:8
If you study the scriptures, it said the
Lord moved with compassion. This means that, the Master is so deeply concerned
about our conditions and He is not happy when we are sad; our Lord is ever
troubled when things are not working right for us and the King of kings is
touched by our pains, uncertainties, struggles, difficulties, sorrow and
troubles. The Lord is compassionate also when He sees our fears, worries,
unbelief, faithfulness, helplessness and hopelessness, but the good news is
that with Him, nothing is impossible.
By His word, the heavens and earth were
created without pillars. By His word, diverse situations changed and aligned to
the directives. By implications, there
is nothing too hard for Him to do. God is able to fix things according to our
desires. Through His word in Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the God of all
flesh; is there anything too hard for me?, the Master of the universe is asking
if there is any known thing He cannot do.
This therefore implies that you cannot
afford to end up in disaster or sorrows. The Lord is much interested in your
circumstances. Don’t let this offer down. It might have lingered but commit it
to Him. He can make you whole again.
Remarkably, there is a free invitation from
the Master to anyone willing to trust Him with his worries. His open invitation
in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye
that labour and heavy laden and I will give you rest” should not be taken
for granted. It is a serious business. Do not allow the devil sell it to your
spirit that your case is closed. You can still rise up irrespective of the
duration of the issues.
Let the devil know it clearly that your case
is not closed because Christ is the Hope of glory. Yes, it’s not over for you. Apostle
Paul writing to the church audaciously declared, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed,
but not in danger”. 2 Corinthians 4:8
You can still live in glory after those pains,
losses, persecutions and intimidations from the enemies if you will let the
king of glory dwell in your heart. Psalm 24:8 says, “Who is this king of glory? the lord strong and mighty, the
lord mighty in battle”. The reason to allow Him in your heart is to work
in and through you as a vessel. To allow Him, simply invite Him into your heart
and believe His presence in you. God bless you.
