SARAKI’S TRIAL: Senate President, Colleagues Flood Tribunal with 80 Lawyers

SENATE President, Dr Bukola Saraki this morning (Friday) arrived the court room of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) with some of his colleagues in solidarity to the Senate’s leader at about 10:00am in continuation of his trial.
 
Prior to his arrival, his legal team of eighty lawyers led by Chief Kanu Godwin Agabi (SAN) was already standby at the court premises while the Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Umar Danladi arrived with the other members of the tribunal at 27 minutes later.


Speaking with journalists, Agabi expressed confidence that the Senate president will be vindicated at the end noting that he has a team of sound lawyers on ground.

 “We shall win as there are 80 of us on this side,” then he started announcing the names of the other lawyers with him”, Agabi briefly said.

As at the time of filing this report, the case has already been called by the registrar.
