The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
has traced about N3.145bn transferred from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to
the private accounts of Chief Femi-Fani Kayode, Achike Udenwa, Olu Falae and
several others who are members of the Peoples Democratric Party, PDP, and active promoters of the Presidential Campaign Organisation of former
President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to the report, Fani-Kayode got a
whooping sum of N840m, Falae got N100m through his company Marreco Limited, the
former governor of Imo State, Udenwa-N350m while N320m was transferred to the
Goodluck Support Group.
Others that allegedly benefitted from the
mega-transfers from the apex bank includes Viola Onwuliri, Nenadi Usman and the
brother in-law to chief Peter Odili who got N100m.
The source also revealed that the public fund was
first transferred to Joint Trust Dimension Nigeria Limited from where the money
was wired to numerous beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, efforts to get reactions from the
shortlisted culprits have not yielded results as at the time of filing this
report.
