Ambode To Present N2.8m Cheques To Students As Senator Fulfills Campaign Promises

LAGOS State governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, is to present  cheques worth N2.8million for scholarship award to  56 tertiary students across the 28 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Lagos West Senatorial District.
 
The initiator and sponsor of the scholarship scheme, Senator Solomon Adeola representing Lagos West Senatorial District, stated that the scheme is part of his pledges to the people during the campaign and would run yearly for four years.
Adeola told newsmen in Abuja that he is also donating 10 transformers, 28 boreholes in 28 LCDAs and 500 lifejackets for river-rime adding that the event would openly take place at a town hall meeting. 

"I am also empowering many constituents with grinding machines, sewing machines, freezers, and helmets among other items. Already, as part of my educational empowerment, I had already purchased and distributed 500 free JAMB forms earlier in the year in the recently concluded tertiary entrance examination while 250 chairs and benches would be distributed to secondary schools in my district that is over half of the population of the mega city of Lagos State”, Adeolu said.
