FG Sacks Heads Of Information Agencies

THE Federal Government  has sacked Heads of six parastatals under the Ministry of Information and Culture with immediate effect.

This was announced in a statement by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, during a meeting with the Chief Executives of the establishments today Monday.

Those affected are Director-General of Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, NBC (Mr. Emeka Mba), Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, (Mr. Sola Omole);  Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mr Sam Worlu); National Orientation Agency, NOA (Mr. Mike Omeri); Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN (Mr. Ladan Salihu), and the Managing Director of News Agency of Nigeria,NAN (Mr. Ima Niboro).

According to the Minister’s Special Assistant, Segun Adeyemi, the affected chief executive officers have been directed to handover to their respective most senior officials in the organisation.
“The Minister directed the disengaged Chief Executives to hand over to the most senior officials in their various establishments”, Adeyemi said.
